About the Role
As an Automation Engineer in a dynamic automotive environment, you’ll play a key role in developing, implementing, and optimizing automation systems that drive sustainable, innovative manufacturing solutions. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, you’ll design control systems and programs for production equipment, focusing on efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility. Your Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll lead the development of automation and control systems from concept through implementation, with responsibilities including:
- Designing and programming PLC and HMI systems specifically for production machinery and automotive assembly lines.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and automotive industry standards in all automation processes.
- Conducting risk assessments and developing safety protocols to enhance machine reliability and employee safety.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing automation systems to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in process engineering, production, and maintenance to deliver efficient, automotive-focused automation solutions.
Your Background
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience with PLC programming, especially in Siemens or similar systems, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and automotive safety standards.
- Proven experience designing and implementing automation solutions in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with production monitoring systems and data-driven troubleshooting.
- Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of Swedish is advantageous.
